Ahhhhhh,
neat trick you say! Well, there are two ways to do this. I used
Eye Candy on this one, but it is not necessary.
| Add
a new layer to the background. Add text,(tip, vertical text
works better as you can see). Next deselect your text.
If you have Eye Candy, click on the Image menu and choose Plug-in
Filters, Eye Candy, Motion trail. |
 |
Here
is how it should look
Next,
click on the Shapes selector tool, set it to Rectangle in the
Tool Options dialog box, and select from the bottom of the text
to the bottom of the trail.

Next
click on the Image menu, Deformations, Perspective-Vertical.
|
Set
at 100 Difference
.
|

Here
is how it should look.
|
Now,
maybe you want your text to stand out a bit more. Click on the
text tool and apply text exactly the same as it was the first time,
leave selected. Take on the Image menu, Plug-in Filters, Eye
Candy, Glass.

Finished

So
you say you don't have Eye Candy? Here is a way to do it without
Eye Candy. After you have added your text on a new layer. Click
on the Image menu and choose Rotate. Rotate by 90 degrees, either
way does not really matter. Click again on the Image menu and
choose Deformations, Wind. Apply the Wind filter and play with
setting until you get close to the same effect as you saw Eye Candy
with the Motion Trail. Rotate text back into vertical position
and proceed with the steps.
I encourage
you to play around! Never know what new technique you might discover.
